Ken Biery is the founder of The Funeral Service Collective, a company dedicated to driving innovation and collaboration in the funeral industry. With over 25 years of experience as a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Kentucky and Colorado—and a career rooted in his service as a U.S. Army combat medic—Ken brings deep compassion and extensive expertise to every facet of his work. His background also includes serving as Deputy Coroner in Boone County and managing funeral homes and cemeteries, supported by an associate degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and a bachelor’s from the University of Mississippi.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ken has shared 34 years of marriage with his wife, he has four  amazing children, and now enjoys quality time with his four amazing grandchildren. When he’s not working, Ken loves exploring new innovations, cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats and Ole Miss Rebels, savoring chicken wings, and enjoying an eclectic mix of music on Spotify.
